Equalities

Equality objectives - 2025-28
Our Equality Objectives have been developed through our BARC (Blatchington Mill Anti-Racist Community) family group which meets half-termly.
Over the next three years we aim to work together as a school community to meet our objectives:
1. Develop ways for everyone in our school community to understand what equality and inclusivity (including Anti-Racism) means, to feel confident in sharing their experiences and create a community where we proactively address potential discrimination and celebrate and champion diversity.
2. Identify and address gaps in attainment, attendance, engagement and conduct between students who share protected characteristics.
3. Develop our school provision to ensure our academic and pastoral curriculum, our extra-curricular offer and our recruitment and retention practices, promote equality and are inclusive in practice, including in our representation and aspiration for all.
Please find our equalities data below, along with data for secondary schools in Brighton & Hove as well as data for nursery, primary, secondary and special schools in Brighton & Hove.
