Blatchington Mill School is seeking to recruit to this important role in our popular and successful school. This is a year-round, full time, onsite role.
This opportunity has arisen following the retirement of the previous Systems Manager after 28 years in post.
The IT Manager will lead the Network Services Team and will work closely with the school’s Senior Leadership Team on strategy as part of the school development plan.
Appropriate technical knowledge and an understanding of how to support the needs of a large and busy organisation are essential. This person will need to quickly get to grips with a complex infrastructure and have the ability to take a strategic approach in the rapidly changing landscapes of education and technology.
The remit is broad, leading a team supporting our curriculum, pastoral and business colleagues, ensuring that systems are highly functional and secure.
Daily interaction with colleagues in the following areas will require a flexible and solution focused approach: Administration, Attendance, Curriculum, Data Management, Data Protection, Exams, Facilities, Finance, HR, Pastoral, Safeguarding, Senior Leadership, Special Educational Needs, Teaching and Learning. This is of course a school and so an ability to communicate with students who require support is important.
At Blatchington Mill School we value personal professional development and training will be provided.
We welcome applications from all parts of our community as we aspire to have a staff body that matches the social and cultural diversity of our student intake.
For further details please visit our school website and if you wish to apply complete and return an application form by the closing date (CVs alone cannot be accepted):
Closing date: Wednesday 30th September (midday)
Interview date: Thursday, 15th October 2026
Please send completed application forms via email to recruitment@blatchingtonmill.org.uk, addressed to Amanda Brasington, PA to the Headteacher.
Blatchington Mill School is committed to safeguarding our students; we expect all staff and volunteers to support this commitment. Criminal record checks will be carried out and a full, enhanced DBS clearance is required for all positions.
Applications are encouraged from black and ethnic minority candidates, as these groups are under-represented on the school's staff.
(Race Relations Act sections 35-38 apply).
