Moving Stories Screening
Last term a number of our EAL students had the opportunity to create their own short films as part of the ‘Moving Stories’ project in collaboration with the University of Brighton. They spent two days at Dorothy Stringer School, discussing and sharing their experiences with each other and eventually creating three-minute long films which we had the pleasure of viewing last night.
It was great to celebrate the students’ hard work with their families as well as hear them reflect on the project and how it helped them to develop not only their English language and technical skills, but also their confidence in discussing their journey’s to the UK. A few tears were shed (mostly by staff!) but we’re so happy that all of the students involved now feel at home at Blatchington Mill.
