NJC/LGA Scale 1-2, SCP 3, £9.36 per hour

Examination invigilators are required to join our Exams Team at Blatchington Mill School and Sixth Form College. This is a popular and successful school with high expectations of our students’ achievements at exams.

This is a key role in maintaining a structured and calm procedure for the exams and assessments, the role of invigilators is important to supporting our students to fulfil their potential and to cope with what can be a stressful time.

These contracts are paid on a claims basis and there are periods of work throughout the year with a peak in the summer term to assist with the summer examination for approximately 6 weeks over the GCSE and GCE exam period. The main summer exam session is from April to the end of June 2020.

Hours are typically for a morning session from 8am until 1pm and/or for an afternoon session from 12.30pm to approximately 4pm.

These roles are very important for the calm and organised running of the exams throughout the school. The invigilators are required to work as part of a team in the main examination halls or in smaller venues around the school. The role is to ensure that the examinations are carried out according to the JCQ rules and regulations and training will be given to ensure that the highest standards are maintained.
