Job Role

We require two cleaners to join an established team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness at this large secondary school. The team work in areas across a large and varied site, managed by a team leader. The duties include a wide range of general school cleaning, restocking and some occasional lifting.
At Blatchington Mill we have worked hard to set up safe ways of working, with structures in place to keep everyone as healthy as possible.
This is a great chance to join a committed Facilities Team as part of this happy and successful school. Blatchington Mill School expect all staff to adhere to a rigorous approach to health and safety and appropriate training is provided for all staff. It is desirable for staff to be qualified in first aid although training in this area is offered.

Hours and Pay

Term Time Only
15 hours per week from 3.30pm – 6.30pm Monday to Friday
Actual Salary range £6,461 - £6,590 - Hourly Rate £9.62 to £9.81

17.5 hours per week from 10am – 1.30pm Monday to Friday
Actual Salary range £7,538 - £7,689 - Hourly Rate £9.62 to £9.81

(work 39 weeks and paid 44.65 weeks which includes statutory Annual Leave and Bank Holidays, the salary is paid in equal amounts each month)

Term Time + 5 Weeks
15 hours per week from 3.30pm – 6.30pm Monday to Friday
Actual Salary range £7,290 - £7,436 - Hourly Rate £9.62 to £9.81

17.5 hours per week from 10am – 1.30pm Monday to Friday
Actual Salary range £8,505 - £8,675 - Hourly Rate £9.62 to £9.81

(work 43 weeks per year paid 50.38 weeks which includes statutory Annual Leave and Bank Holidays, the salary is paid in equal amounts each month)
