Job Role

We require cleaners to join an established team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness at this large secondary school. The team works in areas across a large and varied site, managed by a team leader. The duties include a wide range of general school cleaning, restocking and some occasional lifting.

At Blatchington Mill we have worked hard to set up safe ways of working, with structures in place to keep everyone as healthy as possible.

This is a great chance to join a committed Facilities Team as part of this happy and successful school. Blatchington Mill School expect all staff to adhere to a rigorous approach to health and safety and appropriate training is provided for all staff. Training will be provided as necessary.

We are happy to be flexible with timings, there are slots available between 6am and 8am, 8am - 3pm (with a lunch break) and 3pm - 7pm.  Most roles are term time only but there is the opportunity for holiday working as well.

Pay is on NJC scales 1-2 at scale point 4. The full time salary for this is £19,264 but these roles are not full time and so the hourly rate is currently £9.99 with annual leave paid.

There is the opportunity to join the local government pension scheme.
