Dragon's Den at Blatch

Wednesday, 22 November 2017

Year 8 students at Blatchington Mill have been involved in a ‘Dragon’s Den’ competition! The aim of the competition, organised by the school travel team at Brighton and Hove City Council, is to promote more cycling to and from school. Three groups of our students pitched their project ideas to a panel of travel experts in the hope that they would win £500 to make their idea a reality!

This week, Delphine Jacq from Brighton and Hove City Council announced that three of our students have won the competition with their project ‘Bike to Blatch’! Delphine said, ‘they delivered a clear presentation which was well-structured and presented confidently’.  Bike to Blatch is a project that will reward students for cycling to school using a raffle system; the more often you cycle, the more raffle tickets you win!

Delphine and her team will be working with the winning students to develop their idea and make the project happen over the next year. Well done to everyone who took part!
