Blatchington Mill School is seeking to recruit to this important role in our successful and oversubscribed school.  Good attendance is vital to students’ achievement and well being and is a key priority for us.  We are aware that there are a range of obstacles that students experience and the Attendance Officer plays a pivotal role in helping young people and their families to support this approach.

You would ideally have some experience in the pastoral support of students and be confident in use of data although training would be provided for the successful candidate.  You’ll have a systematic approach, be able to use your initiative and will work well with a wide range of people.

The Attendance Officer liaises with outside agencies as well as senior colleagues, year teams, students and families. You must have knowledge of our statutory responsibilities or else be able to indicate capacity to research and learn such regulated procedures.  You will have good communication skills and will be well organised with the ability to remain calm under pressure and when working to tight deadlines.

If you are interested in apply for this role please complete and return an application form by the closing date. Please note that CVs alone cannot be considered, all applicants need to complete a school application form.
