Classroom Observations/ experience

If you are a Sussex university undergraduate interested in gaining some classroom experience, there are two schemes you can apply for through the university: the Student Associate Scheme and the Schools and College Programme. Both are now full for 2010 – 2011.

Unfortunately, our major commitment in terms of observation for the spring term is through these two schemes so we currently cannot accommodate any other requests for observation/ experience.

Sussex University has organised a week-long classroom observation taster course in collaboration with Dorothy Stringer High School for the week beginning 14th March. Candidates should contact Jacqui Shepherd at j.shepherd@sussex.ac.uk.

GTP Policy 2011 - 2012

The GTP policy of Blatchington Mill School is that we only consider applications from potential teachers who have already worked in some capacity for at least six months in our school, for example as a Teaching Assistant or a Cover Supervisor. Please check our website for any vacancies in these areas.

Please note that we are only able to consider a maximum of two internal GTP applications per academic year, budget pending.
