The Burning of the clocks is on Sunday 21st December. Blatchington Mill students having been working all term on giant lanterns and would really appreciate your support. The parade starts at 6:30 ( students and staff meet 5.30pm) at the Unitarian Church on New Road. The event will conclude in a giant firework display and the burning of the lanterns at 8:00 ish. Some of Brighton’s finest community choirs will be performing a free winter concert in Brighton’s Jubilee Square on Monday 15th December from 5.00pm – 8.00pm. A massed choir of over 100 singers will be formed from Big Mouth Singers Community Choir, Westdene School Choir and Little Mouth Children’s Choir – fresh from their performance at the Finals of BBC3 Choir of the Year. The choirs will be performing a range of traditional and contemporary songs from around the world. There will be a grand finale with the Millstones Big Band, who will then perform their fantastic set of classic big band hits which they recently toured in Germany. Little Mouth chilren's choir will be performing at the BBC3 Choir of the Year Finals as part of the Taking the Stage project at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 7th December.
