Family Festival at Brighton Dome Concert Hall 13th July 2012

The Family Festival is an annual showcase which offers local performing arts groups the chance to perform at Brighton Dome Concert Hall to an audience of 1500. Organised by Blatchington Mill School, this year there will be a wonderful range of performances from schools and community groups across the Brighton & Hove area. DJ Guy Lloyd of Juice FM will be the compere for the night, introducing a fantastic array of performances of dance, drama, choirs, brass, samba and more! The participating groups, involving more than 500 performers, have worked with a fantastic range of arts professionals to develop their performance, including contemporary dance tutor Kate Adams of ‘Groovy Moves’, vocalist Sarah Gardner of ‘Derriere’, choir leader Juliet Russell of ‘Vocal Explosion’, latin dance tutor Marta Scott of Brighton School of Samba, gospel/ soul singer Siggi Mwasote of ‘Kalakuta Millionaires’, drama tutors Ben Murray-Watson and Tanushka Marah of ‘Windmill Young Actors’, plus numerous other talented musicians and actors from across the city.
Community groups involved: Big Mouth Community Choir, Groovy Moves, Hangleton Youth Brass Band, Windmill Young Actors, Little Mouth Children’s Community Choir, South Coast Vocal Explosion Choir.
Schools involved: Blatchington Mill School, Middle Street Primary School, St Andrew’s Primary School, West Blatchington Primary School.
