Blatch reporting goes on-line
Student progress checks at Blatchington Mill will from now on be available on-line, in real time, through the parent and student portals. This will replace the paper system of sending progress checks home with students twice during the year. The longer, report-style 'profile' that comes out once a year with greater detail on student progress will continue this year to be sent out in paper format.
We are pleased that we have been able to meet government requirements to move reporting on-line ahead of schedule, and believe that this will offer parents and carers enhanced and more up to date information about the progress of their children. All students will have a current attainment grade and work ethic grade updated at least termly for every subject. Teacher updates will be posted onto the parents and student portal without delay and will be colour-coded to show progress. A guide to understanding how the data we report on your child can be used to support their progress has been uploaded onto the parents portal.
To access a child's data, parents and carers will need to have a log-on for the parents portal. For a log-in please contact Network Services on (01273) 736244 ext 228. A username and password will be issued to you over the telephone which will give you immediate access to the portal.
