The European Computer Driving Licence ECDLExam Board British Computer Society (BCS)Course ContentThe European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) is the internationally recognized qualification which enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills. It is designed specifically for students who wish to gain a benchmark qualification in computing to enable them to develop their IT skills and enhance their career prospects. The syllabus is designed to cover the key concepts of computing, its practical applications and their use in the workplace and society. It is broken down into seven modules, each of which must be passed before an ECDL certificate is awarded. This course is part of our supporting package for level 2 students The seven modules that make up the ECDL are:
A Level 1 certificate can be gained if modules 1, 2 and 7 are completed. The ECDL certificate can be gained if all 7 modules are completed. A level 2 certificate can be gained if all 7 modules are completed and an extra one hour test is passed ( improving productivity using IT) which contains multiple choice questions and a practical test on word processing, spreadsheets or presentations.
