BTEC National Award in Musical Theatre

The BTEC National Award is a practical, work-related course where you will be expected to rehearse and perform both in lessons and beyond. You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace activities. It is equivalent to one A level which means that when you have finished the course you can use it to go into higher education or into employment. The course is made up of 6 units:

• Rehearsing
• Performing Project
• Music Theatre Performance
• Acting
• Dance Performance
• Music Performance

Assessment

Each unit is assessed and graded by your teachers as PASS, MERIT or DISTINCTION

Degree or BTEC National Diploma in music performance, music theatre, performing arts.
