BTEC First Diploma in Travel and Tourism

Level 2 Equivalent to 4 GCSE’s A* - C

It consists of six units divided up into three core units and a further three specialist units.
What is level 2?

The core units are compulsory and comprise the following:

• The UK Travel and Tourism Industry
• Exploring Customer Service in Travel and Tourism
• UK Travel and Tourism Destinations

The three specialist units will be chosen from the following:

• Exploring Marketing in Travel and Tourism
• European Holiday Destinations
• Business Skills for Travel and Tourism
• Developing Employability Skills for Travel and Tourism
• Planning Visits for Travel and Tourism

The Future

This course is aimed at students who have an interest in Travel and Tourism and may seek employment in associated industries. This qualification is recognised by employers and education institutions and also as a progression route for more advanced study.
