These qualifications are related to a particular area of work. The knowledge gained from such courses will enable students to go into related employment or to progress directly on to level 3 courses (AS/A level).
The courses outlined below are designed for students who initially do not obtain the necessary entry requirements for A level study at blatch6 which is 5 grades of C or better at GSCE level.
Ideally, therefore, Level 2 students would have obtained some grades of C or better, and others at D or E.
